Subsequently, experimenting with presentation, framing, plinths, and picture rails became an independent artistic act.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDetailed interviews with thirteen international representatives from art and design – including Philippe Parreno, Rosa Barba, Berger\u0026amp;Berger, and Monster Chetwynd – demonstrate the importance of scenography in contemporary culture. They show how our understanding of art has changed and encourage us to look at art history with different eyes.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMathilde Roman is an art historian (PhD Paris 1 Sorbonne) and art critic living in Nice. Since 2006, she has worked as a professor of art history at the Pavillon Bosio in Monaco. She regularly writes for catalogs and journals and is an active member of AICA France. Her publications include \"Habiter l’exposition. L’artiste et la scénographie\", \"Swimming with Laure Prouvost\", and \"On Stage. The theatrical dimension of video image\".
