In 1967, she stayed in Paris, where she encountered the \"inspirational poetry\" of Surrealism and the theatre of Antonin Artaud. In 1971, she completed her studies at the University of Applied Arts in her hometown of Vienna. In 1975, she participated in the exhibition MAGNA – Feminism, Art and Creativity, curated by VALIE EXPORT. In 1982, she began teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in Arnulf Rainer's master class.
