Helga Fanderl's films are characterized by their unconventional approach. Without subsequent post-production, her films are made in real time, while she holds the camera in her hand and does the editing directly while shooting. In our monograph Konstellationen Super 8, Helga Fanderl's work is comprehensively documented for the first time. The book offers rich visual and textual material and provides insights into the aesthetic uniqueness and complexity of her work. It explains the genesis and development, process and materiality, as well as the poetic appeal of Fanderl's filmic practice.
