Camille Pissarro, one of the father figures of the Impressionist movement, worked in close friendship with Monet, CÚzanne, Degas and van Gogh and participated in all Impressionist exhibitions in Paris. He was a thought-provoking influence, always the centre of attention whenever he and his artist collegues met for discussions, and was at all times open to innovation within the Impressionist movement. This publication presents Pissarro's oeuvre in all its thematic and artistic diversity.
