The entrepreneurial couple Alison and Peter W. Klein collects with passion. As soon as it is time to decide on a new acquisition, they follow their credo: “art has to move us.” In its wide variety, the constantly expanding collection, headquartered in Nussdorf, reveals unique evidence of a desire to see and experience art. Now, the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is offering a first institutional look at the Klein Collection in an expansive, special exhibition. Besides the work of established artists, many newcomers will also be featured. Large avant-garde paintings meet contemporary prints, drawings, and photographs.
